Pudukkottai by election results – AIADMK in the leading

Coimbatore, 15 Jun 2012: The by-election in the Pudukkottai Assembly constituency took place successfully on the 12th of June 2012. An estimated 73 per cent polling was recorded in the elections. 20 candidates participated in the election of which the major contestants were Karthik Thondaiman of AIADMK and Zakir Husain of DMDK.

The counting of votes started at 8 in the morning today. At the end of Round 3, AIADMK leads with 13735 votes and DMDK has secured 4594 votes. The result will be announced in few hours.
